It has been some time since we had an update here…and a lesson has been learned in the mean time. <del>Some</del> Many months ago, I was looking for inspiration for our next update on the site here, and I went and got the DVD which had all the photos from our time with Keren. Well, I had a folder with a few photos in it, on the desktop of our laptop, but I wanted to look through the others, for help with the next post. Well…when I put the disc into the laptop, it displayed as if it was EMPTY! Photos from almost every day of her 8 1/2 weeks with us…gone!

Well, in dismay, I put the disc away for months, thinking it was lost and I tried to not think about it. A much required laptop upgrade, however, resulted in me getting a MacBook Pro a few months ago, and I recently had the idea of trying the disc in it…and it was able to read it !

It was great being able to look over them again, after thinking they were gone.

Lesson being…it is advised to have more than one copy of precious digital files, preferably on different types of media, ie: Cd, DVD, and/or external hard drive.
