Keren…Wide Awake!

Posted by Glenn

This is a wee video I took one day Keren was quite alert. Often when she was alert like this, we would just enjoy talking to her, but I am glad I had the idea this time to record a few moments with her, when she was awake.

It doesn’t seem like three years since wee Keren was born. Three years ago today.

I can still say that I am truly thankful to God for having known her. All our children have such wonderful wee personalities, and Keren’s fragile beauty will stay with me as long as I live.

    Glenn and Geraldine,
I can imagine just how special this little video is to you both. But, it’s also special to those of us who didn’t get the opportunity to see wee Keren like this. It really means a lot. Thanks for sharing!

    Hi Glenn and Geraldine,

I am 34 weeks pregnant and my son has been diagnosed with Trisomy 18 – the diagnosis was made at 28 weeks.

I know that video means the world to you as I am in the position that I hope for that video in the future to be mine too – I would love to see my son Lucas Andrew yawn and stretch!!

Thanks for sharing my husband and I would love to stay in contact and perhaps you can help through this difficult period of uncertainty for us having been there yourself.

Thanks again for sharing Keren (she is beautiful, angelic and awesome what a fighter!)

Sharon, Andy and Lucas Andrew Russell

    Hi Glenn & Geraldine

Just thought I would let you know that I gave birth to Lucas Andrew on Thursday 3rd September at 12.42 p.m. He weighed in at 5lb 1.5oz and was just over 18 inches long, handsome, precious and totally inspirational.

Sadly Lucas died due to heart complications on Wednesday 9th September (his due date) we had 6 precious unforgettable days with our son and he was a character.

I have put a video tribute on youtube under Lucas Andrew Russell if you would like to see my son – I want the world to see how much these babies touch the lives of those all around and even those they have never met . So much for incompatiable with life – my son gave me life and many others.

Love to you all – Sharon Andy

    Hi Sharon,

Thank you so much for staying in contact, we have been thinking of you.
Your video is so beautiful. Wee Lucas was a wee darling. We are so glad you had six precious days with him, and I know you just cherished every second.

Isn’t it amazing how someone so small can have such a huge impact on so many people. He has touched our hearts, and will be remembered by those who had the privilege of meeting him in person, and those who get to view your beautiful tribute.

We hope and pray that you both will continue to get the strength you need at this time, and will feel the comfort and love from family and friends.

If you ever feel like talking, we will be here, if we can be of any help please let us know.

    In our thoughts and prayers,
    Geraldine & Glenn
