A few more Antrim Hills, Trostan and Slieveanee
Posted by Glenn
We had another great days walking last Saturday (1st March) taking in County Antrim’s highest mountain…Trostan, at 1800ft (550m) and beside it, Slieveannee. The latest member of the team going to Kilimanjaro, Irwin Adair, from Kells, was with us, completing the team of six intrepid trekkers (does he know what he is letting himself in for?…do any of us, for that matter!) Raymond McAlister and his son Andrew completed the group of eight walkers.
Here is the first photo of the team all together… (click here to see it larger)
Irwin suggested that Slieveannee should be renamed “Mucktotheknee”, and you can see why, in the following photos!
And a couple for fun! Sorry Irwin…but it had to be done! ![]()

Hi, I have lost Armens Tel/No, please email.
I hope he still across the ditch from New Zealand.
What do you call that place? Aye Australia or
something.
God Bless, Alan the Kiwi
Thanks Alan,
Geraldine and I were in New Zealand in ‘95 and we would love to go back! Definitely some fantastic walking opportunities there. Some great places spring from memory…Fox Glacier, Milford Sound for a few. Really nice (almost as nice as the Antrim Hills!)
Armen is still in Port Lincoln (across the ditch!), check your email for his number.
Hope NZ is treating you well!
